SPECIAL VOTERS MEETING will be held on Wednesday, May 22, at 7:00 p.m. to review and approve the congregational budget for the period of July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014. Please make plans to attend.


GRADUATION 2013
Congratulations Graduates!!! Your congregation would like to recognize all graduates by assembling a picture board in your honor. Turn in to the school office: your picture, name tag, and school or college from which you are graduating. At the Sunday, June 2
nd 10 a.m. service, high school and college students: please wear your cap and gown; St. John students can wear attire of their choice. Meet in the church basement no later than 9:45 a.m., then proceed into the church for the Worship Service. For info, call the school office: 734-3580. ATTENTION: We are also encouraging the 9th, 10th, and 11th graders to join in the celebration by walking in behind the 8th graders. Following the church service, we will hold a reception and fellowship and have finger foods, snacks and refreshments for all.

A VBS DOOR OFFERING will be held on June 1 and 2.  This will be in conjunction with the Graduation Reception in the narthex.  We have applied for supplemental funds from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans to help with the purchase of teaching materials and supplies for our 2013 Vacation Bible School.  VBS will be held at our Day School from June 24-28 under the leadership of Mr. Steven S.  Please contact him at school (734-3580) if you are willing to volunteer your help at VBS this year.  Envelopes and a donation box will be available in the narthex for those who are not able to attend worship June 1 or 2.  Thank you in advance for your generous support of this important outreach to the children and families in our area.

TEENS TO TEXAS PANCAKE BREAKFAST will be held Sunday, May 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. John Lutheran School. Menu includes pancakes, Plath’s bacon & sausage, fruit salad, juice, milk and coffee. This will be a free will offering and Supplemental Funds will come from Thrivent Financial.

 

CHURCH FUNDRAISING MEETING: Tuesday, May 28 at 7 p.m. in the St. John Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. Bring your ideas to help us raise money for St. John Church. Everyone is welcome to attend.
